The Book of Gods

“The Book of Gods” deals with mythology and mythological stories in the eyes of an atheist.

 

Despite the many iterations and translations into varying cultures, myths and religions from these different cultures fundamentally are relatively similar. For example, though the characters themselves may not be the same, the themes, roles, motifs and tropes presented are concurrent.

 

“The Book of Gods” not only showcases the similarities between religions, but it also touches upon the idea that religions try to conquer each other to showcase their validity and dominance in current time.

 

This antagonistic concept is shown through the “Ether Gods” - otherworldly beings whose sole purpose is to overtake the gods known to the player. To defeat these Ether Gods, the player must rally their arsenal of gods from all different cultures and fight the common enemy together.
